Busy Summer

It has been a very busy summer.  I feel good today.  I have not felt good for a long time, but today I feel good.

Star Trek: Vanguard Precipice by David Mack

Great book!  Original Series Star Trek universe without the main characters.

Here are some of the best lines.

bottom of page 316 - " So be it.  Bidding a slient farewell to her muse, T'Prynn turned her back on the piano.  Then she stepped off the stage and back into the shadows, where she belonged."

page 283 - " Did you steal it? No, I borrowed it.  So whose shuttle is this?  It's not a shuttle.  It's a starship."

New Hard Drive Enclosure

I got a new hard drive installed into my Dell GX280. I still had stuff on the old hard drive which was starting to flake out. So I got a NexStar3 Hard Drive Enclosure. I hooked it up and got it to run on the first try. The NexStar3 was not too expensive, about forty bucks total including tax, from Comp USA. I will copy my stuff over and then I can recycle the hard drive. Happy Earth Day! Here is a picture!

TUT Dinner on the 20th

The District has a couple of technology items I want to check out. There was one for Audacity and one for Edmodo. I hope to attend both of those. Audacity lets you make podcasts (sound files) for your blog. Edmodo is a microblogging tool. I hope to learn more.

Wrong Sized PowerCord for my HP laptop

I ordered a power cord for my lsptop from Amazon, but the size is wrong. I will see if I can get an exchange or a refund.

Been a While

So many issues. I am hoping to buy my laptop when the district starts to recycle them. My power cord is working, but I need to get a new one.

As soon as TAKS is over. We (my students) should be ok. I still have some technology ideas I want to try with them before the end of the school year.

Can't Retrieve Email from District Server

I can't retrieve sent email from the server. Suppossedly we are switching to Zimba. If I had known this was going to happen, I could have forwarded my email to my google.
